Matthew Shannon
Matthew is the Founder & CEO at The August Group, a service provider of family office, management, consulting, lifestyle, transportation and branding services for a wide range of clients from multi-generational families to founders of businesses and professional athletes.
Matthew has built a career in finance spanning over a decade. He was previously the Chief Investment Officer at Quadriam Investments, the family office of Amelia and Lino A. Saputo. He oversaw a number of investments and operating businesses, including entities in the sports and business management industry, and supported the philanthropic activities of the Amelia and Lino Saputo Foundation. Matthew also worked as an Associate at BMO Financial Group on Bay Street, where he managed a $2 billion portfolio of 40 mid-sized companies, private equity, and infrastructure projects.
Matthew has earned his CFA and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics & Political Science from Dalhousie University.
